Welcome to Tillside Parish Council

In May 2003 Chatton and Chillingham Parish Councils merged with Lilburn Parish to form Tillside Parish.

Covering an area situated on and around the River Till, about 15 miles north of Alnwick, 20 miles south of Berwick-upon-Tweed and bordered by the Cheviots and the beautiful Northumberland coast, Tillside is the largest Parish in North Northumberland.

This site aims to provide information for the population of the wards that make up Tillside Parish and for visitors to the area.

There are 14 councillors (6 from Chatton Ward, 3 from Hetton, 3 from Lilburn and 2 from Chillingham). Meetings are currently held every other month, usually on the second Thursday, in Chatton Village Hall.

The Agenda is published here and posted on the noticeboards a week before the meeting. Parishioners are welcome to attend but cannot take part in the proceedings unless invited to do so by the Chairman, although there is usually a short slot to put questions to, or draw relevant matters to the attention of, the Council, prior to commencement of business.

If there is something you want discussed by the Council please contact the Clerk or a Councillor at least one week before the Meeting so it can be added to the Agenda.
